Kocokikihlahsis (kuh-juh-ghee-gheeh-lah-sis) is the Passamaquoddy word for Chickadee.

This bird, very prominent in Maine life, is a joy and marvel to watch. They are the inspiration as this banditry of chickadees sits atop a contemporary take on the Passamaquoddy double curve filled with life as illustrated by the unfurling of a fern, flowers blooming and tendrils reaching for the skies as they suspend in front of big thunderous clouds where my ancestors watch over.

This is an 8"x8" print that fits perfectly in small spaces.

Colors may vary slightly from digital screen to in person.

This is for a teal colored print.
