Fine Art and Crafts

Norma Randi is an indigenous artist from Maine whose contemporary oil paintings, digital drawings, and other creations reflect aspects of her life and heritage. After earning her Bachelor's Degree of Interdisciplinary Fine Arts at UMaine Machias, she has continued to pursue her art career by developing her studio practice, selling her wares at various Maine stores, showing in different galleries and museums, and exhibiting at fairs throughout Maine.
Her style is inspired by western realism, contemporary 2D indigenous artists, and traditional imagery found in the Wabanaki culture. Her depictions of the land are meant to transport the viewer to these locations, presenting the vibe and colors of that place. Her portraits, animal, and plant work give a sense of the region; connection to land and culture.

Norma Randi's artwork has been featured in museums and galleries such as the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor, the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, the Bosarge Education Center at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, The Maine State Capitol, University of Maine at Machias, The Eastport Arts Center, Atelier Laforest Gallery in Dennysville, and many more.

Her work and story has been featured in the Stories and Updates from the Coast, 2024 publication by Maine Coast Heritage Trust and Best Kept Secret, Way Down East - St.Croix Valley, 2018.

Based in Washington County, Maine, Norma Randi appreciates this quiet and rural corner of Maine.
